Violin Note Finder 1.1

Violin Note Finder is a tool that assists with sight-reading by helping users locate notes across the instrument’s fingerboard.

The app was developed by a small team of professional music teachers based in the Netherlands.

The workflow is straightforward:

• Tap a note on the staff to see where on the violin it can be played. Information is presented both on an overview diagram of the violin in the center of the screen and on an enlarged view of the fingerboard.
• Use the red arrows to choose which position is enlarged.
• Tap the enlarged position to reveal the corresponding note on the staff; the same note’s position is highlighted on the overview diagram.
• Left-hand fingering numbers appear above the enlarged position.
• By tapping on either the staff or the enlarged fingerboard, you can hear the corresponding pitch, and the note name is shown on the left side of the staff.
• The staff notes can be set to sharp, flat, or natural as needed.
